Design Plus Gallery presents a Pair of Lacquered Arm Chairs in the English Regency Style. The chairs are painstakingly crafted to mimic late 18th century Prince George of Wales Regent design with neoclassical styling cues. The frames are ebonized and accented with gilt. The rectangular backs have gracefully curved arm with distinctive faux rope twist. The opulent frames are inspired by Greek Klismos design. Dramatic profile and excellent joinery make these a collectors dream. In good condition with minor wear, consistent with age + use.
