Design Plus Gallery presents a Set of Five Tulip Chairs by Eero Saarinen for Knoll. These chairs stand on a gracefully shaped cast-aluminum base inspired by a drop of high-viscosity liquid. To achieve this, they have used a cast aluminum base with a rilsan coated finish of pure white. The shell of the seat is molded fiberglass with a reinforced plastic bonded finish, also in pure white. Each chair has a cushion in the brand’s Crossroad textile, the color Tropical, which is removable with zippered covers and Velcro fastening. Beneath every seat is an authenticating plate with the brand and designer’s signature. Visible wear is present to the shell with some medium-sized chips, but overall they are in good condition for their usage. Made n the USA.
