“Michael Graves collaborated with celebrity designer Dakota Jackson to design some of the most avant-garde and high style furniture in the 1980’s, including such works as the Vik-Ter dining chair. This chair design includes a welded steel frame with a cross stretcher and molded plywood seat and back. The Vik-Ter chair received a silver award for environmental design in the 1992 Industrial Design Excellence Awards and was shown in exhibitions at The Weatherspoon Art Gallery, Museum of Arts and Designs, and Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum.”
