$399

Design Plus Gallery presents an Engraving of the Temple of Cauis & Lucius Caesar by Cornelius Apostool. The Temple of Gaius and Lucius Caesar, widely known as the Maison carrée in Nîmes, France, is one of the best-preserved ancient Roman temples in the world. Engraved by the Dutch artist Cornelis Apostool in the late 18th century, the print showcases the structure’s remarkably intact Roman architecture. This is the printout from the twelfth page of the 1794 publication, Views of the Antiquities and Harbours in the South of France by Jean Albanis Beaumont (1755-1812). The piece is encased in a dark wood beveled frame with linen matte. It is in good overall condition with minimal wear for its usage.
