Circa 1990’s John Hutton for Donghia Anziano Stackable Chairs, Set of Four

Design Plus Gallery presents a Set of Four Anziano Chairs from Donghia. The chairs were designed by American Designer John Hutton for the American Academy of Rome in 1989. Their design is a reinterpretation of an ancient Greek Klismos chair using a modern formal language with its molded wood frame finished in a tan maple glow. The bases are made of steel wire coated in black. They are space savers in the home as well as the chairs are stackable. The style of chairs is no longer in production with Donghia. In good vintage condition, visible and minimal wear on finish.
