Circa 1977 Erté “Beauty and the Beast” Seriagraph, Framed

Design Plus Gallery presents “Beauty & the Beast” by Erté. This is a serigraph created in 1977 with a limited amount of editions, this one marked 298 of 300 and signed ‘Erté’ on the lower right. The artist created the image after a June “Harper’s Bazaar” cover as a maquette. As well as this beautiful design later inspired a bronze sculpture entitled “Beauty and the Beast”. the base of the painting has strips of blue that are lighting as they move upward on the piece. Beauty is the woman’s profile that has a pink headdress upon her head and Beast is the cougar wrapped around her shoulder. The art work is encased in a black frame and is in good condition for its usage.
