Design Plus Gallery presents a Le Monde Pendant from Carl Thore for Granhaga Metallindustri. A very rare, stylish ceiling lamp that shines with a warm pleasant glow between the gold rings. It also shines downwards, and up towards the ceiling. As an interesting twist, Carl Thore is the pseudonym of Sigurd Lindkvist, a Swedish designer born in 1916. He is best known for his innovative lighting designs, especially during his time at Granhaga Metallindustri, where he started working 1961. Lindkvist adopted the name Carl Thore when he presented his lamps to a customer and wanted to keep his identity as a designer a secret. Signature plate is found at the base. Visible wear is present with conditions still as good for its age.
