Design Plus Gallery presents a Pair of Framed Art Prints by Nicolas Lancret. Nicolas Lancret (1690-1743) was known for his “fête galante” scenes, which portray elegant figures in idyllic. The print on the right is entitled “The Music Lesson” and has a serene garden scene with figures engaged in leisure and conversation, featuring a young woman reading and a musician playing a cithar. The print on the left side is depicting two young women being serenaded by a minstrel. The original art works are found at the Louvre. They have identical frames of wood with antique frames. There is visible wear that is consistent with its usage.
