Design Plus Gallery presents the Chinese Ancestor Painting. This art piece displays six figures sitting and smiling in a homely environment, as if they’re warmly welcoming family to join. Painted on silk panels in the early 1900’s; smaller panels were sewn together because they could not weave fairly large panels. It is framed in wood with a dark cherry finish, and has always been protected by glass. There is minor wear; the painting is in good condition. This painting can be placed in any home entry area.
