The chairs structural frame is made from cherry wood and has shaped arms and legs accented by ebonized rods along the sides, back, and top stiles for a dramatic contrast. The strong period construction speaks to their enduring quality, while the streamlined silhouette reflects a design sensibility well ahead of its time. The seats are upholstered their original black leather with decorative nailhead trim along the borders. The leather shows visible, natural distress consistent. A rare find for a pair of these chairs as they offer timeless design, exceptional materials, and nearly two centuries of history. They are in good antique condition, visible and minimal wear.
