Design Plus Gallery presents a Pair of Plastic Shell Arm Chairs in the Style of Eames. The original Shell Chair is easily one of the most important and recognizable designs of the twentieth century by the Eames Family. The chair was originally designed in 1948, as an entry in The Museum of Modern Art’s International Design Competition. At the time, no one could possibly have anticipated the massive success and longevity of this iconic design. This latest iteration shell has dark-stained dowel legs with black molded recyclable, matte-texture plastic shells. These are replicas. Visible and Minor wear from usage. Made in China.
