Carl Malmsten for Bodafors Herrgården Mid 20th Century Dining Chairs, Set of Eight

Design Plus Gallery presents a Set of Eight Herrgården Dining Chairs by Carl Malmsten from Bodafors. These original mid-century Swedish chairs showcase Gustavian-inspired design with ivory-painted wooden frames, gently curved top rails, slender spindle backs, and tapered legs. The set consists of five side chairs and two armchairs, each displaying the designer’s distinctive Scandinavian aesthetic. The seats are upholstered in blue and white floral-patterned fabric with padded cushions and softly rounded edges. The two armchairs have gently curved wooden armrests that complement the overall design. These are discontinued models with the brand and are in good condition with visible and minimal wear from usage. The painted surfaces display visible wear consistent with age and usage, including minor scuffs, scratches, and areas of paint loss. One chair seat cushion needs new upholstery as it was bleached. Made in Sweden.
