Antonette Von Grone “The Feast”, First in Series Original Artwork

SOLD!

Design Plus Gallery presents a First in the Artist Series of ‘Feast’ Antoinette Von Grone’s Commissioned Art Piece with Original Frame. You will see a main attraction within the frame that is a replicate to the Grand Odalisque by French Neoclassical painter Ingres. To view this piece brings cheeky humor with the Fox being the highlight and also the muse for Ingres work in Odalisque. Languid and naked, the fox carries a whiff of irreverence and delight at the same time. Other players are around the table with acquired items to delight. One presence is lurking, a lone bull cow behind the curtain. In conversation with the Artist Von Grone wanted to depict this character as a naughty boy that was not supposed to be there. The whimsy and the joy these characters bring will entertain all but also have the artistic capacity to be fully engaging to an art historian/collector. The wood frame surrounding the commissioned art piece is gold with red ribbed wood that goes hand in hand with the “Feast”. In good condition with minimal signs of wear.
