Design Plus Gallery presents an Antique Venetian Stained Glass Lantern from the 19th Century. This ornate hanging lantern is composed of hand crafted iron with elaborate scrolling detail and inset stained and textured glass panels in varied shades of green and clear glass. The elongated form is crowned with curling ironwork and suspended from a heavy chain, while the body is enclosed with decorative metal edging that frames each circular pane. Its aged surface shows pronounced patina and oxidation consistent with age, adding to the lantern’s historic character. One glass panel has a visible crack. It is in heavy rustic condition with visible and minimal wear from usage. Made in Italy.
