Design pLus Gallery presents a Cast Iron Tea Kettle from Japan. Known as a Tetsubin Pot the kettle is signed in the iron. The kettle-making process revolves entirely around the mold, utilizing tools and stamps passed down through generations, ensuring a touch of traditional artistry in every modern piece. The mold is then expertly formed and designed before molten iron is poured in, left to cool and solidify for several days, and finally freed from its sand womb. Is in good condition with green hued patina that could be refreshed with proper cleaning.
