Design Plus Gallery presents a Needlepoint Sitting Chair from American Wood Carving Company. The chair has a rosewood stain with so much personality with how it was carved. Its Louis XV style is marked by a fluid, lavish design that place greater consideration on comfort with a lower, wider design with an angled back. It has an exuberantly molded or carved wood in floral, with a central medallion on the crest rail surrounding an upholstered cartouche-shaped chair back. Shorter arms terminate before the seat’s edge, and cabriole legs turn out at an angle rather than being on axis with the arms. The rose-pink needlepoint with yellow bouquets centrally placed on the seat and back. It is in good condition with wear that is consistent with usage.
