Design Plus Gallery presents a 2ft 10in x 11ft 1in Gabbah Runner Rug from Iran. This runner is a thick, hand-knotted tribal rug that was hand woven by nomadic Lori’s in Iran’s Fars province. The runner has a raw, contemporary appeal with thick somewhat shaggy hand-spun wool and earthy, all-natural plant dyes. The rug has a blue and red border with knotted fringe at their ends. The inner part of the rug has a tan background with elemental ornamentation with careful placement running vertically through its pathway. The runner is in good overall condition for its usage.
