19th Century Chinese Red Lacquer Tea Piece Compound Cabinet
Design Plus Gallery presents a 19th Century Chinese Compound Cabinet. Red lacquered and hand-painted with vignettes and intricate patterns, each door of the two segmented storage is fitted flush and has original brass fittings. The lower cabinet opens to reveal a spacious black interior with removable shelves above a secret compartment concealed by the lower front panel. Cord access created more recently. Lacquer and wood shows crackling and cracks consistent with age and use.
