“Theodore B. Villa is Coyotero- White Mountain Apache-Zapotec and was born in Santa Barbara, California in 1936. He has a B.A. and an M.F.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He has taught art there and at Santa Barbara City College. His many exhibitions include those at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Purdue University Art Gallery, and Sacred Circles Gallery, Seattle. Villa lives in Santa Barbara. “It is my preference that whoever looks at my work takes from it what they will. Any statement I make about my work
will only inhibit the viewer’s response!”
