1970’s Ristomatti Ratia Design Palaset Modular Storage System – 14 Pieces

Design Plus Gallery presents a 14 Piece Modular Storage System Designed by Ristomatti Ratia for Palaset. The Palanox storage boxes with multi-colored stackable boxes that allow you to build your own shelf, produced only a few years in the early 1970s. During his career, Ristomatti Ratia designed almost everything from clothing to jewelry and pots to coffins. The original colors of the boards were white, brown, red, green and yellow. Ristomatti Ratia’s Idea was to create a custom home storage system and it worked out very well, it is a pity that it only had a very short production time, however today that’s what makes it so much sought after. Currently showcased are 14 boxes that you can place in all ways. 3 boxes with large doors, 3 open boxes, the rest remain with drawers of various sizes and shelves. Wear is good on this piece, considered good with wear that is consistent with age + use.
