What is the Positive Health Program?

From the first reports of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, the UCSF Positive Health Program (PHP) at San Francisco General Hospital has led the world in defining best practices of clinical care in HIV/AIDS medicine. The staff’s motto is to always focus first on patient wellbeing and to work towards a collective mission – “to explore, learn, teach, heal and comfort.” The PHP treatment model includes an emphasis on outpatient primary and specialty HIV care, rapid availability of routine and urgent care to the patient, psychosocial support through a spectrum of services, integration of patient care with clinical research, and ongoing education for patients, providers and the local community.

Last Thursday February 21, Design Plus Consignment Gallery launched its first of its monthly networking gatherings, “Drinks with Design Plus,” at its San Francisco location. Hosted by Design Plus Manager Raul Cabrera, the event attracted about 40 people from the Bay Area design community – sharing ideas, business cards and drinks & noshes. Floral arrangements were provided by Mark Angeles. Thanks to all who showed up and shared. We’ll announce the date of our next March gathering soon!
