Design Plus Gallery presents a a Sculptural Dining Room Arm Chair by Melchiorre Bega.
Melchiorre Bega (1898 – 1976) was an Italian architect and designer. His career spanned throughout five decades and three fashions: rationalism, international style and brutalism. The mid 20th century is the epitome of modern design with its sculpted frame of molded arms and back. Double padded seat and back cushions in a rich black velvet that was painstakingly reupholstered to appear as new. Walnut frame and wood are in good condition with minimal signs of wear after refinishing.
