Zarina Karapetyan Vivarium Sun Painting
SOLD!
Design Plus Gallery presents the Vivarium Sun Painting from Zarina Karapetyan. This contemporary mixed media artwork centers on a large circular sun rendered in layered colors of copper, rust, terracotta, amber, and brown against a deep reddish-brown field. The heavily textured surface incorporates crackled passages, irregular layering, and tonal variation that give the central form a dimensional, weathered appearance. A luminous golden-orange perimeter defines the sun and creates contrast against the surrounding background, while the expressive surface treatment emphasizes the hand-applied character of the composition. The artwork is presented on stretched canvas over a wood support without an exterior frame. It is in good condition with minimal wear from usage. Made in the USA.
