Design Plus Gallery presents a Pair of Bergere Chair with Delmar Upholstery from the 18th Century. The chair have a French Louis XVI rounded frame that is carved with continuous guilloches over shaped hand holds and a shaped apron similarly carved and ending in turned legs. The upholstery from Delmar has a faded peach tone with puffy chinoiserie scenery that is so charming. There was rich tone of peach for the background tone that is still present on the underside that has lighten with sun exposure. Visible wear to the frame is consistent with its antique age.
