Design Plus Gallery presents a Spindle Morris Arm Chair + Ottoman. The Spindle Morris Chair was the forerunner of the modern recliner and is part of the 1989 reissued Mission Collection. Virtually identical to Gustav Stickley’s original design circa 1906, it features an adjustable back, wide canted arms, curved horizontal back slats, narrow spindles, and quadralinear post construction for the oak. The tight seat and loose back cushion are upholstered in a forest green leather. Minor tear on the right back of the leather seat. The armrests are long bowed arms with slatted sides. The back has four settings for reclining. Minor wear, chairs are in good condition. Accompanied with a matching ottoman. The chair finish is 89-395. Made in USA.
