Born between 1835 and 1845, in Paris, died in March 1918, son of the painter Louis Roux (1817-1903), is a painter, printmaker and watercolorist French.

Pupil of Cabanel, he breaks away from academic teaching to work on the ground in the forest of Fontainebleau, near Paris,
then in Normandy and Brittany. He traveled to England, which he refers landscapes of the English countryside and the Thames,
exhibited at the Salon from 1882.

Paul Roux has regularly exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1870. He often presents prints (etchings) and watercolors characterized by a light touch and subtle, full of spontaneity. He was a member of the Society of French artists.”
