Design Plus Gallery presents a Chinese Camphorwood Tang Style Horse. This showstopper was crafted in China at the turn of the century during the late Ch’ing Dynasty. This was a great period of the reproductive work. This sculpture along with many other artifacts were buried doing the Communist Revolution and was recently made available to the international market. Chinese royalty often used camphorwood for clothing’s chests + sculptural work for the pleasant scent. There is natural aging + minor wear through out, small carking, Sculpture is in good condition. Originally purchased from “A Touch Of Asian” of San Francisco in 1985.
