Design Plus Gallery presents a Pair of Crosshatch Chairs from Design Within Reach. Eoos, a studio based in Vienna by designers Martin Bergmann, Gernot Bohmann, and Harald Gründl, designed the Crosshatch Collection with a desire to use an industrial material in a handcrafted way, creating a weaving that’s both structural and decorative. A year of testing ropes later, they found the ideal choice to be parachute cord, which stays stiff and won’t stretch over time. The walnut finish chairs have Lotus Prone Leather cushions and were made in North Carolina by skilled artisans using globally sourced materials. They are both in good condition with minimal signs of visible wear for their usage.
