Constructed with a box trestle base sharply contrasting the legs in black powder coated metal for a foot rest. Tapered legs are slenderly milled with an oiled walnut finish. Highly graded Italian leather wraps the padded shell form for the sculptural and functional seat. Shell gives just enough space to cradle and support. Padded with crushproof rubber foam for additional comfort. Made in Italy.

“In Italy, we love to stay at the table for a long time to eat, drink and relax,” says Omar De Biaggio. “So when I design a stool, I focus on comfort and helping the sitter stay relaxed. It’s not just to sit in front of a dish of spaghetti.” With this in mind, Omar named his Bacco Collection (2013) after Bacchus (Bacco in Italian), the Roman god of wine. “This is a multipurpose, modern and elegant stool,” he says, “with soft lines and, above all, a cozy shape, thanks to 3-D molding technology.” -www.dwr.com
