Design Plus Gallery presents Glasgow School of Art Poster Print from Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868–1928) is celebrated by many people for many reasons. A prolific artist and designer, he had a keen eye for interiors and furniture. He is credited, alongside three fellow students from the Glasgow School of Art, with forming the Four—the artist collective responsible for the famous Glasgow Style. The poster print of his Glasgow School of Art is widely considered his masterwork. The style of Glasgow is characterized by a synthesis of Celtic revivalism, Japanese, and Arts and Crafts influences. It has elongated, stylized floral motifs, attenuated vertical lines, and a muted, symbolic color palette (not shown in black & white print). Is I framed within glass and in good condition for its usage.
