Design Plus Gallery presents a Carlo Bimbi for Arketipo Accademia Sofa. Designed in 1989, the Accademia is recognized for its sculptural asymmetry and sweeping curved profile. Black leather upholstery wraps the frame, seat cushions, arms, and back, while stainless steel panels accent the left side and lower front edge. The fixed back cushion follows an undulating line and is detailed with button tufting. Two removable seat cushions rest above the base, accompanied by one round and one square leather accent pillow. Solid wood construction, supple leather, and stainless steel form the distinctive composition of this discontinued Carlo Bimbi design for Arketipo. The leather displays visible creasing and age-related tonal variation. The dust cover under the cushion is coming undone. It is in good condition with visible and minimal wear from usage. Made in Italy.
