Design Plus Gallery presents Two Original Lithographs From British Artist John Gould’s “A Monograph of the Trochillidae” Series. A Monograph of the Trochilidae represents Gould’s effort to create a comprehensive guide to all the varieties of hummingbird with a high degree of accuracy, detail and beauty. Gould’s five volumes on the hummingbird contain 360 hand-colored lithographic illustrations. Two species of Hummingbirds are depicted and shown in these two pictures; Diphogena Iris and Helianthea Eos are perfectly framed and matted for display in your home. Of each lithograph three hummingbirds of their differing species are on a flowered branch, with their scientifically given name below. Both pictures and frames are in good condition with minimal surface wear to the outer frame.
