Design Plus Gallery presents a Vintage Paper Tole Layered Shadow Box Artwork by Anton Franciscus Pieck, 1895-1987. Two versions of daily life are depicted, one elite and one not-so-much, intricately drawn and cut in paper. The Dutch painter, artist and graphic artist is noted for his nostalgic or fairy tale-like characters and are widely popular, appearing regularly on cards and calendars. He is also known for being the first designer of the famous Dutch theme park Efteling. The pair are professionally matted and framed in gilt wood. Visible wear on frame, shown, condition is good for age and use.
