Design Plus Gallery presents a Bombe Chest with Ornamental Ormolu + Marble Surface. The chest is likely of Antique age in the French Chateau style. The dramatic double-serpentine curvature is visible side to side and top to bottom on the front and sides. A great feat of woodworking skills, the piece would have been costly to make and rare even in its own time. The chest also has elements of luxury with its brass original hardware and use of fine materials of marble, walnut, and burl woods. Is in good condition, visible and minimal wear for its use + age.
