Design Plus Presents an Antique Coromandel Screen. An early twentieth century gift from China, the six panels of black lacquer with intricately carved reliefs is a stunning work of art. One side features a mountain-to-sea panorama in gilt, while the other side is a floral and fauna vignette in soft colors. Simple brass detailing on the feet compliment the range of color against the dark background. Beautiful as an art piece, functional as screen or room divider. Visible nicks on edges, some surface scratches, fair condition for age and use.
