Design Plus Gallery presents a French Cane Back Sofa Bench from the 20th Century. The leg, arms and back rest have beautiful millwork, as well as the cane back. This settee or canapé is characterized by its light, breathable hand-woven cane panels and elegantly carved wood frame. It draws from historical Louis XV and Louis XVI styles, featuring motifs such as floral carvings and cabriole legs. There is a loose bench seat cushion that has a Golden Damask Chenille upholstery that suits its old-world style. There is cane under the seat cushion that has been restored with wood planks in the same stain to fix the broken cane work and make the bench strong + function.
